In Wednesday's league game, the host Southern Alamance Patriots baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the East Chapel Hill Wildcats.
The Patriots (8-6) will now prepare for their game against Western Alamance (Elon, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 5-9 record. In their last game, Western Alamance was edged by Williams (Burlington, NC), 12-2, in a league game.
The Wildcats (4-9) will now prepare for their game against Northwood (Pittsboro, NC). The Chargers go into the non-league game with a 6-10 record. In their last game, Northwood tipped Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC), 7-5, in a non-league game.
