The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) and the host Taos Tigers (Taos, NM), saw Pojoaque Valley's softball squad nip Taos by a count of 6-1.

The Elks/Elkettes now sport a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Los Alamos for a 4A District 2 match on Saturday, April 8. Pojoaque Valley will face a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 7-6 league loss to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Taos falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM) to face the Sundevils in a 4A District 2 match on Saturday, April 8. The Sundevils enter the match with a record of 3-10. Espanola Valley lost 16-2 in their recent league match against Moriarty (Moriarty, NM)
