The Wayne County Yellow Jackets baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Islands Sharks to 3 in the Yellow Jackets league victory on Friday.
The Yellow Jackets (21-3) will now prepare for their match against Benedictine (Savannah, GA). The Cadets go into the 4A Area 3 match with a 14-9 record. In their last match, Benedictine tipped Burke County (Waynesboro, GA), 11-1, in a league match.
The Sharks (15-9) will now prepare for their match against New Hampstead (Savannah, GA). The Phoenix go into the 4A Area 3 match with a 0-19 record. In their last match, New Hampstead was edged by Burke County (Waynesboro, GA), 13-0, in a league match.
