Brazoswood Buccaneers (Clute, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clear Springs Chargers (League City, TX), 6-2 in a league challenge.

The Buccaneers now own a 22-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dickinson for a 6A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Brazoswood will battle a Gators squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Clear Falls (League City, TX). The Gators record now stands at 10-15.

With the loss, Clear Springs falls to 18-7 on the campaign. The Chargers host Clear Lake (Houston, TX) to battle the Falcons in a 6A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 8-13. Clear Lake lost 10-2 in their recent league challenge against Clear Brook (Friendswood, TX)
