The La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) baseball trounced the host Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), 16-5 in Saturday's league challenge.
The Bears now own a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they host Eldorado for a 5A District 2 challenge on Saturday, April 12. La Cueva will clash with a Golden Eagles team coming off a 21-2 league win over Capital (Santa Fe, NM). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 12-5.
With the defeat, Manzano drops to 7-8 on the year. The Monarchs travel to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Matadors in a 5A District 2 challenge on Saturday, April 12. The Matadors go into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Sandia won 22-3 in their recent league challenge against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM)
