The Pearl Pirates softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Richland Rangers to 2 in the Pirates non-league win on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwest Rankin for a 7A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, April 8. Pearl will confront a Cougars team coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Madison Central (Madison, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 20-2.

With the loss, Richland moves to 4-4 on the season. The Rangers host Pearl (Pearl, MS) to confront the Pirates in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 10. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 13-7.
