New Mexico High School Softball - Pojoaque Valley bounces Taos

The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes routed the visiting Taos Tigers softball squad by a final score of 12-2 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Elks/Elkettes (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Hilltoppers go into the 4A District 2 battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, Los Alamos topped Moriarty (Moriarty, NM), 19-2, in a league battle.

The Tigers now possess a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Espanola Valley for a 4A District 2 battle on Saturday, April 9. Taos will meet a Sundevils squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Moriarty (Moriarty, NM). The Sundevils record now stands at 6-8.
