West Virginia High School Baseball - Ripley nips Winfield

In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) baseball squad edged the visiting Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV), by a final score of 6-5.

With the win, Ripley upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Hurricane (Hurricane, WV) to clash with the Redskins in a Mountain State game on Saturday, April 8. The Redskins go into the game with a record of 5-0. Hurricane won 6-0 in their recent non-league game against Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV)

The Generals (6-4) will now prepare for their game against Scott (Madison, WV). The Skyhawks go into the Cardinal game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, Scott tipped Sherman (Seth, WV), 10-0, in a non-league game.
