Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Matadors now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freedom for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7. Granada will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Monte Vista falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA) to battle the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 9-1. Saint Francis won 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Presentation (San Jose, CA)
