The La Cueva Bears softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host West Mesa Mustangs to 0 in the Bears league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, La Cueva moves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Bears host Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM) to clash with the Panthers in a 5A District 2 game on Thursday, April 11. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 11-7. Piedra Vista won 14-1 in their recent league game against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 2 game, on Saturday, April 13. West Mesa will attempt to move on its 10-8 season record. The Scorpions come into the game with a 12-6 record after their 13-11 league win over Sandia (Albuquerque, NM).
