New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Crown Point for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. New Prairie will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 18-3 non-league win over New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Lakeshore falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lancers host New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN) to face the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 2-2.
