The Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) baseball trounced the visiting Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT), 16-1 in Monday's league challenge.
The Spartans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Housatonic for a Berkshire challenge on Tuesday, April 8.
With the defeat, Thomaston drops to 0-1 on the year. The Bears travel to Granby Memorial (Granby, CT) to clash with the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 11. The Bears go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
