The Thomaston Bears baseball squad (Thomaston, CT), was overwhelmed 8-2 in Friday's league contest with the host Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT)

With the triumph, Shepaug Valley moves its record to 11-2 on the season. The Spartans host Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT) to confront the Chiefs in a Berkshire contest on Friday, May 9. The Chiefs come into the contest with a record of 9-3.

The Bears now possess a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bassick for a non-league contest on Monday, May 5. Thomaston will confront a Lions squad coming off a 20-1 non-league loss to Hillhouse (New Haven, CT). The Lions record now stands at 0-8.
