The New Diana Eagles triumphed over the visiting Daingerfield Tigers softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX) in a 3A Region II District 15 challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. New Diana will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 16-1 league win over Harmony (Big Sandy, TX).

The Tigers (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Chapel Hill (Mount Pleasant, TX). The Red Devils enter the 3A Region II District 15 challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, Chapel Hill was routed by Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX), 6-4, in a league challenge.
