Spectators at Friday's league battle between the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Belen Eagles (Belen, NM), saw St. Pius X's baseball squad beat Belen by a margin of 14-5.
Coming up next, the Sartans play the Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) in a 4A District 5 battle, on Tuesday, April 12. St. Pius X will attempt to better on its 13-4 season record. The Jaguars enter the battle with a 8-9 record after their 24-1 league win over Highland (Albuquerque, NM).
The Eagles now sport a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grants for a 4A District 5 battle on Tuesday, April 12. Belen will play a Pirates squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Pirates record now stands at 13-7.
