Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA), 3-2 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Lions clash with the Wayland Warriors (Wayland, MA) in a Dual County match, on Tuesday, April 12. Newton South will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Natick (Natick, MA).

With the loss, Newton North drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Winchester (Winchester, MA) to clash with the Sachems in a non-league match on Monday, April 11. The Sachems come into the match with a record of 3-1. Winchester won 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Greater Lowell Tech (Tyngsborough, MA)
