Rhode Island High School Softball - La Salle Academy bounces Smithfield

The La Salle Academy Rams the host Smithfield Sentinels softball squad by a final score of 5-1 in Saturday's league battle.

The Rams (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Chargers go into the Division 1B (State) battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Chariho held off Prout (Wakefield, RI), 13-3, in a league battle.

The Sentinels now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pilgrim for a Division 1B (State) battle on Monday, April 10. Smithfield will confront a Patriots squad coming off a 8-1 league win over East Providence (East Providence, RI). The Patriots record now stands at 3-0.
