Rhode Island High School Softball - Smithfield thwarted by La Salle Academy

The Smithfield Sentinels softball team (Esmond, RI), was routed 15-3 in Monday's league test with the host La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI)

Coming up next, the Rams encounter the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) in a Division 1B (State) test, on Thursday, May 18. La Salle Academy will attempt to improve on its 15-3 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 6-11 record after their 7-2 league loss to Prout (Wakefield, RI).

The Sentinels (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Patriots come into the Division 1B (State) test with a 13-1 record. In their last test, Pilgrim overcame East Providence (East Providence, RI), 1-0, in a league test.
