Illinois High School Baseball - Champaign Central loses to Normal Community

April 8, 2024: Champaign, IL 61820

The Normal Community Ironmen crushed the host Champaign Central Maroons baseball team by a count of 9-1 in Monday's league bout.

The Ironmen now possess a 13-0 record. They take the field next when they host Centennial for a Big Twelve bout on Wednesday, April 10. Normal Community will clash with a Chargers team coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 1-6.

The Maroons (5-8) will now prepare for their game against Normal West (Normal, IL). The Wildcats go into the Big Twelve game with a 8-5 record. In their last game, Normal West overcame Bloomington (Bloomington, IL), 12-3, in a league game.
