Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waubonsie Valley for a DuPage Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Metea Valley will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to Naperville Central (Naperville, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, DeKalb falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Barbs host Naperville North (Naperville, IL) to battle the Huskies in a DuPage Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Naperville North lost 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL)
