Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Steeleville Warriors (Steeleville, IL), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host Zeigler-Royalton for a Black Diamond West challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Trico will face a Tornadoes squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Waltonville (Waltonville, IL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, Steeleville falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Warriors host Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL) to face the Meteors in a Cahokia - Kaskaskia challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Meteors enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Marissa/Coulterville won 18-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL)
