The Verona Wildcats softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Wheaton Bulldogs to 0 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Verona moves its record to 4-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Spokane (Spokane, MO) to clash with the Owls in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 10. The Owls come into the game with a record of 0-12. Spokane lost 14-7 in their recent non-league game against Hurley (Hurley, MO)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Pierce City Eagles (Pierce City, MO) in a Class 2 District 6 game, on Tuesday, April 9. Wheaton will attempt to move on its 1-7 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 0-12 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, MO).
