The Bowie Pirates softball team scored 12 runs and held the host McLeod Longhorns to 1 in the Pirates league win on Tuesday.

The Pirates now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maud for a 2A Region III District 17 battle on Thursday, April 10. Bowie will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Detroit (Detroit, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, McLeod moves to 9-9 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Bowie (Simms, TX) to confront the Pirates in a 2A Region III District 17 battle on Friday, April 11. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 7-9. Bowie lost 10-8 in their recent league battle against Maud (Maud, TX)
