The Schalmont Sabres got by the host Catholic Central Crusaders softball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Sabres (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Albany Academy for Girls (Albany, NY). The Bears go into the Section 2 Colonial battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Albany Academy for Girls was edged by Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY), 17-2, in a league battle.
The Crusaders now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ichabod Crane for a Section 2 Colonial battle on Wednesday, April 10. Catholic Central will meet a Riders squad coming off a 17-2 league win over Albany Academy for Girls (Albany, NY). The Riders record now stands at 2-0.
