The Schalmont Sabres routed the visiting Catholic Central Crusaders softball squad by a final score of 9-1 in Monday's league battle.
The Sabres (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Albany Academy for Girls (Albany, NY). The Bears go into the Section 2 Colonial battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Albany Academy for Girls was routed by Cohoes (Cohoes, NY), 2-0, in a league battle.
The Crusaders now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Ichabod Crane for a Section 2 Colonial battle on Tuesday, May 7. Catholic Central will confront a Riders squad coming off a 8-1 league win over Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY). The Riders record now stands at 16-0.
