Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Roxana Shells (Roxana, IL), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wesclin for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Columbia will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 17-10 league win over Okawville (Okawville, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Roxana falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Shells host Salem (Salem, IL) to battle the Wildcats in a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge on Friday, April 12. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 12-2. Salem won 7-4 in their recent league challenge against East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL)
