El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Santana Sultans (Santee, CA), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Vaqueros now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Helix for a Grossmont Hills challenge on Thursday, April 11. El Capitan will face a Highlanders squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, Santana falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Sultans host Valhalla (El Cajon, CA) to face the Norsemen in a Grossmont Hills challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Norsemen enter the challenge with a record of 1-14. Valhalla lost 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA)
