In Tuesday's league contest, the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) softball team overwhelmed the host Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), by a margin of 17-1.
With the triumph, St. Pius X moves its record to 11-4 on the year. The Sartans travel to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Matadors in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 11. The Matadors come into the contest with a record of 10-5. Sandia won 6-5 in their recent non-league contest against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM)
In their next game, the Jaguars play the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a 4A District 5 contest, on Thursday, April 11. Valencia will attempt to move on its 2-13 season record. The Hornets come into the contest with a 0-17 record after their 24-8 league loss to Grants (Grants, NM).
