The Smithville Warriors baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Excelsior Springs Tigers to 5 in the Warriors non-league win on Wednesday.
The Warriors now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Logan-Rogersville for a non-league test on Saturday, April 12. Smithville will play a Wildcats team coming off a 8-3 league win over Clever (Clever, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-2.
With the defeat, Excelsior Springs drops to 7-7 on the year. The Tigers host Central (St. Joseph, MO) to play the Indians in a non-league test on Friday, April 11. The Indians go into the test with a record of 7-4. Central won 9-0 in their recent non-league test against Ruskin (Kansas City, MO)
