In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Anson Bearcats softball team scored a tight 13-7 win over the Cheraw Braves.

The Bearcats (7-13) will now prepare for their match against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets come into the Rocky River 2A/3A match with a 1-15 record. In their last match, Forest Hills was routed by Central Academy (Monroe, NC), 15-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Braves confront the Buford Yellow Jackets (Lancaster, SC) in a match, on Thursday, April 10. Cheraw will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the match with a 11-1 record after their 17-3 league win over Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC).
