In Wednesday's league test, the Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA) softball squad the host St. John Paul II Lions (Hyannis, MA), by a tally of 9-5.
Next, the Whalers clash with the Sturgis East Storm (Hyannis, MA) in a Cape & Islands test, on Friday, April 11. Nantucket will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Storm go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 13-10 non-league win over Nauset Regional (North Eastham, MA).
The Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Martha's Vineyard Regional (Oak Bluffs, MA). The Vineyarders go into the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Martha's Vineyard Regional was routed by Rising Tide (Plymouth, MA), 19-7, in a non-league test.
