Spectators at Monday's league battle between the Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) and the host Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA), saw Amherst County's baseball squad beat Rustburg by a margin of 12-7.

Coming up next, the Lancers play the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole battle, on Tuesday, May 2. Amherst County will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the battle with a 9-3 record after their 6-0 league win over Liberty (Bedford, VA).
