Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) and the host Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), saw Gray's Creek's baseball squad knock off Jack Britt by a count of 14-8.

Coming up next, the Bears play the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) in a United Eight 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, May 2. Gray's Creek will attempt to move on its 13-7 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 16-8 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC).
