Indian Lake Lakers (Lewistown, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Shawnee Braves (Springfield, OH), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lakers now sport a 19-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bath for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. Indian Lake will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Defiance (Defiance, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Shawnee falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Braves host Jonathan Alder (Plain City, OH) to meet the Pioneers in a non-league battle on Friday, May 3. The Pioneers go into the battle with a record of 14-4. Jonathan Alder won 8-5 in their recent league battle against London (London, OH)
