The Phelps Hornets baseball squad (Phelps, KY), was overwhelmed 13-2 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Betsy Layne Bobcats (Betsy Layne, KY)
With the triumph, Betsy Layne moves its record to 7-16 on the season. The Bobcats travel to East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY) to confront the Warriors in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 6. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 8-15.
The Hornets now possess a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain Mission for a non-league contest on Friday, May 2. Phelps will confront a Challengers squad coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to Grundy (Grundy, VA). The Challengers record now stands at 1-3.
