West Virginia High School Baseball - Lincoln nips Preston

The Lincoln Cougars baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Preston Knights to 4 in the Cougars league win on Thursday.

The Cougars now own a 14-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grafton for a Big Ten test on Saturday, May 3. Lincoln will play a Bearcats team coming off a 12-4 non-league win over St. Marys (St. Marys, WV). The Bearcats record now stands at 14-13.

With the defeat, Preston drops to 8-8 on the season. The Knights travel to Keyser (Keyser, WV) to battle the Golden Tornado in a non-league match on Saturday, May 3. The Golden Tornado come into the match with a record of 4-15. Keyser lost 14-0 in their recent non-league match against Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV)
