The El Dorado Golden Hawks triumphed over the visiting Villa Park Spartans softball squad by a count of 7-1 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Golden Hawks meet the Sonora Raiders (La Habra, CA) in a Freeway challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. El Dorado will attempt to upgrade on its 16-11 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 16-8 record after their 11-6 non-league win over Yorba Linda (Yorba Linda, CA).

The Spartans (13-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Sunny Hills (Fullerton, CA). The Lancers enter the Freeway challenge with a 9-13 record. In their last challenge, Sunny Hills was routed by La Habra (La Habra, CA), 6-0, in a league challenge.
