Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 18-4 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hickory for a Southeastern challenge on Thursday, May 12. Great Bridge will face a Hawks squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Indian River falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) to face the Tigers in a Southeastern challenge on Tuesday, May 17. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-12.
