Ledyard Colonels (Ledyard, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Griswold Wolverines (Griswold, CT), 12-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Colonels now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Killingly for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 11. Ledyard will face a Redmen squad coming off a 8-6 league win over Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT). The Redmen record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Griswold falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT) to face the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-13. Bacon Academy lost 15-1 in their recent league challenge against Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT)
