Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Kenmore East Bulldogs (Tonawanda, NY), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Kenmore West for a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier challenge on Monday, May 13.

With the loss, Kenmore East falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host City Honors (Buffalo, NY) to face the Centaurs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Centaurs enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
