Illinois High School Softball - Grayslake Central edges Zion-Benton

The Grayslake Central Rams softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Zion-Benton Zee-Bees to 7 in the Rams non-league win on Saturday.
The Rams now sport a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Antioch for a Northern Lake County battle on Tuesday, May 13. Grayslake Central will confront a Sequoits team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Libertyville (Libertyville, IL). The Sequoits record now stands at 15-11.
With the loss, Zion-Benton moves to 6-9 on the season. The Zee-bees travel to Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL) to confront the Bears in a North Suburban battle on Monday, May 12. The Bears come into the battle with a record of 11-14. Lake Zurich lost 16-3 in their recent non-league battle against Carmel (Mundelein, IL)
