Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA), 7-6 in a non-league test.
With the win, Pierce County upgrades its record to 29-4 on the season. The Bears travel to Redan (Stone Mountain, GA) to battle the Raiders in a non-league test on Monday, May 16. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 26-5. Redan won 19-9 in their recent non-league test against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA)
With the defeat, Franklin County falls to 27-8 on the season.
