Indiana High School Softball - Portage bounces Michigan City

Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Portage Indians (Portage, IN) and the visiting Michigan City Wolves (Michigan City, IN), witnessed Portage's softball squad prevail over Michigan City by a count of 14-0.

The Indians now sport a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Illiana Christian for a non-league match on Friday, May 13. Portage will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Hobart (Hobart, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 16-2.

With the loss, Michigan City moves to 4-14 on the season. The Wolves host East Chicago Central (East Chicago, IN) to meet the Cardinals in a non-league match on Thursday, May 12. The Cardinals go into the match with a record of 1-4. East Chicago Central won 20-16 in their recent non-league match against Hammond Academy of Science & Tech (Hammond, IN)
