The Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) softball the host Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY), 12-9 in Thursday's league bout.

The Nighthawks (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Moriah (Port Henry, NY). The Vikings go into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout with a 1-9 record. In their last bout, Moriah was routed by AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY), 15-12, in a league bout.

The Chiefs now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Northeastern Clinton for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout on Friday, May 12. Saranac will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 9-2 league loss to Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Cougars record now stands at 1-9.
