Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA), 10-9 in a league challenge.

The Highlanders now own a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alleghany for a Three Rivers challenge on Tuesday, May 16.

With the loss, Radford falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA) to battle the Blue Demons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Blue Demons enter the challenge with a record of 11-7.
