The Orono Riots (Orono, ME) softball routed the visiting Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME), 14-2 in Monday's league bout.
The Riots (9-2) will now prepare for their bout against George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME). The Eagles go into the Class C North bout with a 3-7 record. In their last bout, George Stevens Academy toppled Lee Academy (Lee, ME), 16-12, in a non-league bout.
The Ponies now possess a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Ellsworth for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 14. Foxcroft Academy will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 16-2 league win over Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 7-2.
