Franklin Academy Huskies (Malone, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Norwood-Norfolk Flyers (Norwood, NY), 27-1 in a league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Canton for a Section 10 Central challenge on Tuesday, May 14. Franklin Academy will battle a Golden Bears squad coming off a 7-6 league win over Salmon River (Fort Covington, NY). The Golden Bears record now stands at 14-1.

With the loss, Norwood-Norfolk falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Flyers host Massena (Massena, NY) to battle the Raiders in a Section 10 Central challenge on Wednesday, May 15. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 5-12. Massena won 15-1 in their recent league challenge against Potsdam (Potsdam, NY)
