The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Firelands Falcons (Oberlin, OH) and the host Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH), saw Firelands's baseball team beat Black River by a margin of 20-9.

The Falcons (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Midview (Grafton, OH). The Middies go into the non-league challenge with a 6-12 record. In their last challenge, Midview was overwhelmed by Olmsted Falls (Olmsted Falls, OH), 10-7, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Black River drops to 9-7 on the year. The Pirates travel to Manchester (Akron, OH) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 15. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 11-7. Manchester won 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Northwest (Canal Fulton, OH)
