The North Tonawanda Lumberjacks softball squad (North Tonawanda, NY), 4-2 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY)

With the triumph, Grand Island improves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Vikings host Kenmore East (Tonawanda, NY) to face the Bulldogs in a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier contest on Thursday, May 15. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 1-10.

The Lumberjacks now hold a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lewiston-Porter for a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier contest on Wednesday, May 14. North Tonawanda will face a Lancers squad coming off a 9-7 league win over Kenmore East (Tonawanda, NY). The Lancers record now stands at 3-6.
