The Tri-City Tornadoes got by the host Lincolnwood Lancers softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Tornadoes meet the Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 15. Tri-City will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 20-5 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Carrollton (Carrollton, IL).
The Lancers (10-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Red Bud (Red Bud, IL). The Musketeers go into the non-league challenge with a 22-7 record. In their last challenge, Red Bud held off Carbondale (Carbondale, IL), 10-0, in a non-league challenge.
